Luce was sitting under a tree, reading a story to Neiva. Neiva beamed at the storybook, an infectious smile spreading across her face, and she would occasionally let out a soft giggle. Luce smiled radiantly at Neiva, who always took such pleasure in imagining things and storybooks. Luce enjoyed every moment with her adoptive daughter, because every moment was fun and energetic with the little fairy.
Zion walks by them, totally ignoring them. The chains from his wrist jingle as he strolls around.
Luce's eyes averted from the book, and she noticed Grail walking around with chains hainging from his wrists. She studied him for a moment, before decided to catch his attention. Neiva was a bit surprised at Luce's abrupt stop from reading, but she only watched her mother and did not object.
"Uh, Grail, is that you...?"
Grail looks at Luce with a "burn-in-hell" look on his face. His eyes have bags under them, with Grail being sleep-deprived for nearly a week. He turns to Luce and Neiva.
"Who else does it look like, Eden?"
Luce was astonished at how sleep-deprived Grail looked. She stared at his face for a moment, then she was abruptly pulled out of her thoughts by Neiva's tugging on her dress. Luce shook her head quickly.
"A-Ah, I'm sorry..."
Grail wraps up the chains around his arms. He approaches Luce and Neiva and sits down right in front of them.
"Not happy to see me?"
"No, no I am," Luce replied gruffly. Neiva looked at Grail, a bit entranced with his rough appearance.
"Are you okay, Mister?" Neiva inquired, tilting her head like a little puppy.
"Heheheheheheh.... Yeah, I'm just fine, kid..." He pets Neiva's head. "Just peachy."
Neiva was a bit surprised at the sudden petting, but she actually kind of liked it. Luce smiled a bit as Grail petted the little fairy.
"O-Okay!" A small smile spread on Neiva's lips.
He looks at Neiva with a demonic smile. "Okay, indeed, young one.." He eyes stare point blank in her eyes with the instillment of fear in them.
